Elisa Yavchitz is currently Les Canaux’s manager, an organization which is a dedicated place for all collaborative and inclusive actors that aim to put society and the environment at the core of their project. Les Canaux organizes a series of events to promote and develop social business in France and throughout the world. Health economist, her journey to this important position was about different domains. She began her career within the World Health Organization, working on the development of a health and social policy in developing countries. As a senior consultant, she orchestrated strategic and change management missions during a dozen years. Elisa Yavchitz then worked for the French Ministry of Health, leading the team in charge of French hospitals’ organization, funding, and public investment (a ten-billion Euro budget). Finally, she has worked these last seven years with Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris, as special adviser on economic and attractivity development issues. Elisa Yavchitz is convinced that the development of social business generates job offers for all, increases solidarity as well as goodwill towards the most impoverished individuals and provides all with the opportunity to create a good life for themselves.
