Gillian Sullivan Mort (MBA, PhD) is Professor of Marketing at La Trobe University, Australia. She has had a life-long involvement in social justice beginning her working life as a psychologist in child protection and in special education. In the early 2000s, she was one of the pioneers of academic work in social entrepreneurship. In 2014 she was appointed Director of the Yunus Social Business Centre at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia to lead research and develop community engagement with social business in a developed economy context. She is the Director of the 1st Social Business Symposium being run at La Trobe University in August 2016. In addition she researches in SME internationalization, social marketing,non-profit marketing, sustainability marketing, young consumers and branding. She has over 100+ publications including books, book chapters, journal articles and refereed conference papers. She is the current editor of the Journal of Non-profit and Public Sector Marketingand serves on the editorial board of Australasian Marketing Journal.  Gillian has been successful in attracting research grants from the Australian Research Council Discovery Grants scheme, Telecommunications Research Grants, the Queensland State Government Treasury and the Victorian State Government Treasury.
