Umud Mirzayev

Mr. Mirzayev has been founder and chairman of the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) since 1992. The IEPF is a civil society organization active in the fields of protection of media and freedom of speech peace building and sustainable development issues. IEPF is a member of the International Peace Bureau (IPB), European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE), International Press Institute (IPI), US Department of State Private Partnership Program and the UN Economic and Social Council with General Consultative Status.

He was one of the moderators of the international events and initiatives organized for peace, security and sustainable development, social business. He is one of the great supporters of objective information exchange in the peace building process.

Mr. Mirzayev is a head of the Azerbaijan National Committee of International Press Institute since 2004 and was a member of IPI Executive Board since 2012-2016. He is one of the founders of Baku Regional Initiative Center of IPI that was established during the first meeting of IPI National Committees.

U.R.Mirzayev as a chairperson of IEPF is a member of International Peace Bureau (IPB) since 2001 and is a representative of IPB in 18 western Asian countries. He is also founder of “Yunus Social Business Centre in Azerbaijan” with UNEC in 2016 to promote social business ideas in the region and “Eurasia Media Network”, included Eurasia Diary analytical informational portal publishing in five languages (English, Russian, Turkish, Arabic and Azerbaijani) launched in 2015 to disseminate objective information to the world especially from conflict areas to build a peace,  prosperity and confident .
