Tanbir Siddiqui is the founder and CEO of Change Makers; a nonprofit organization promoting Civic Education, Human Rights, Good Governance and Democracy since 2003. Through Change Makers he trained about fifty thousand high school, college and university students on Civic issues.  Social Business is one of the areas Change Makers has been addressing with the youths.  He is a lawyer by profession, a freelance journalist and an activist for more than 30 years. In 1994 he switched his career from law and journalism to development field and worked for different national development organizations in senior positions till the middle of 2003.  He provided technical assistance to the Bangladesh Govt. as a member (nominated) in different committees for the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Ministry of Labor. Tanbir is a frequent guest on TV talk shows on different channels.  He also writes articles, post editorials. He is involved with many national and international civil society initiatives, forums and coalitions.  In 1990, he won the “Manik Mia Memorial Award ‘89” as the best reporter from the Rajshahi University and U.S. State Department’s Alumni Excellence Award in 2012.
