DR MAHFUZ ASHRAF is a social technologist with a strong interdisciplinary background across business, social issues of information systems/technology and social development. His multifaceted background provides him with a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities of development at the global and community level. His works have been recognised at Singapore Internet Research Centre, UNESCO Chair in ICT for Development, PLuS Alliance (UNSW, Arizona State University, Kings College) and United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs. Mahfuz holds a doctorate degree in the areas of ICT for Development and a masters degree in information systems management from the University of South Australia, Australia and the London South Bank University, UK. At present, Mahfuz is researching the conceptual and practical understanding of social business principles in the precincts of sustainable health service delivery/mHealth, sustainable development goals, entrepreneurship in margainalised community including People with Disabilities (PWDs).
