Parveen Mahmud, is the Founding Managing Director, Grameen Telecom Trust. In her varied professional career Ms. Mahmud was a practicing chartered accountant. She is the Council member and was the first woman President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB). She was also, the first female board member of the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA).Ms. Mahmud was Working Group Member, Consultative Group on Social Indicators, UNCTAD/ISAR. She was the Deputy Managing Director of Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF). She was the member, National Advisory Panel for SME Development of Bangladesh. She serves numerous Boards including BRAC International. She is the Chairperson of Micro Industries Development and Assistance Services (MIDAS). Mrs Mahmud is the Chairperson of Shasha Denims Ltd., and was the Chairperson, Acid Survivors’ Foundation.
