Joel Bouzou is the President of the World Olympians Association. He was also a former French athlete of modern pentathlon the official organisation for 100,000 athletes throughout the world who have participated in an olympic event. In 2006, he played the role of an advisor to H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and in 2007 he became the President and Founder – Peace and Sport “L’Organisation pour la Paix par le Sport”. In 2015 he became a member of IOC Sport and Active Society Commission. He also played the role of vice president in Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne and World Mixed Martial Arts Association
