Christina Jäger is leading the Plastic Lab, an initiative she co-founded with serial entrepreneur Hans Reitz and Ilona Geimer, a former senior executive at BASF SE, to address the issue of marine litter especially plastic waste in our oceans. The Plastic Lab’s purpose is to contribute to the transformation to a more circular economy. Together with its international network the Plastic Lab initiates and sets-up creative pilots to tackle the problem onshore by improving waste collection and recycling systems as well as redesigning packaging and developing alternative materials. Before Christina has worked on various Grameen Creative Lab projects developing a global social business movement: from organizing the annual Global Social Business Summit, lecturing at universities to developing business plans to set-up joint social business projects with GCL’s partner network.
