Lamiya Morshed has 31 years of experience in international development, microcredit, social business, and global advocacy, playing a role in advancing sustainable development worldwide. She served as Executive Director of Yunus Centre since its founding in 2006 and joined Grameen Trust in 1994, helping to establish microcredit programs in many countries and leading microcredit missions to many countries, including Turkey, Timor-Leste, China, Nepal, the Philippines, and Costa Rica. 

She also served as Managing Director of Grameen Healthcare Trust and Chairperson of YY Ventures, and held board positions in organizations such as Grameen Healthcare Services, Grameen Kalyan, Yunus Social Business, Grameen Creative Lab, and the YY Foundation. She has presented papers and talks at numerous high-level international forums on behalf of Grameen Trust and Yunus Centre.

Educated at schools around the world, she is multilingual and holds a degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Since August 2024, she has been serving as the Principal Coordinator for SDGs Affairs of the Interim Government of Bangladesh
