Duncan Power

Co-Founder and CEO Dana Asia Ltd,
Australia

Duncan Power is a seasoned social enterprise and social business leader with over 30 years of experience in social finance and social enterprise innovation. He began his impact journey as CEO of Mercury Provident, a UK ethical bank (now Triodos), where he championed community-focused lending. Later, with the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), he established a pioneering social investment fund—now Charity Bank—which proved the viability of lending to “unbankable” charities. Duncan then brought CAF to Australia and Southeast Asia , facilitating over AU$120 million in grants and transforming more than a million lives. In 2011, he founded Dana Asia to bring Professor Muhammad Yunus’ Social Business model to life across Asia Pacific. Through microenterprise development and access to finance, Dana Asia works to empower marginalised communities and build pathways out of poverty. Duncan remains a passionate advocate for inclusive growth, blending financial tools with social purpose to create sustainable, life-changing outcomes.
