Dr. Jaime Aristotle B. Alip is a renowned poverty eradication practitioner with over 40 years of experience in microfinance and social enterprise development. He founded CARD MRI, a network of 29 institutions serving over 9.6 million Filipinos and insuring more than 31 million lives. His pioneering work has earned national and international acclaim, including the Ramon Magsaysay Award (2008), the Ramon V. del Rosario Award for Nation Building (2019), and Vietnam’s Order of Friendship Award. He was also named Social Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young in 2006. Dr. Alip held key government roles, including Undersecretary of DSWD and Assistant Secretary of DAR. He serves on various boards such as the Makati Business Club and ICMIF, and has held academic positions in the Philippines, Japan, and the U.S. A dedicated educator, he was also the first Dean of Management at CMDI Tagum. He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and the University of the Philippines.
